Exploring Task Flows

As I explored task flows in my recent studies, I read four interviews of parents who were in need of finding private schools for their students' due to unique student and educational needs.

After synthesizing the qualitative data and conducting market research on private school resources, I developed the following problem statement:



Parents need a simpler way to narrow down their school choices based on their preferences because it often takes a large amount of time to research despite knowing what they value in a school. 


I developed two user task flows for a concept app that allows parents to match with schools that meet their predetermined priorities. Then, they have the ability to book tours of the schools.

Task flow 1: Users update their school priority settings from their family account page.

Task flow 2: Users book a tour with a school that they were suggested based on priority needs.
